Understanding Your NDIS Service Agreement

Know what you and your provider have agreed to

A service agreement describes what you and your provider have agreed about your NDIS supports.

It can include what supports will be provided, when and where they will be provided, prices and other costs, how payment works, responsibilities, cancellation arrangements, how changes are made and how the agreement can end.

Do I need one?

The NDIS recommends written service agreements when starting with a provider. Written service agreements are generally not mandatory, except for Specialist Disability Accommodation supports.

Make sure you understand it

Your service agreement should be in a format and language you understand.

Before agreeing, ask questions about anything unclear, including costs, cancellation arrangements, responsibilities, complaints, and how to end or change services.
