NDIS Resources

Your Rights When Receiving NDIS Supports

Your rights remain at the centre of your support.

NDIS Practice Standards require registered providers to deliver supports that promote and respect participants’ legal and human rights.

Your support should respect you as an individual

This includes your dignity, privacy, culture, diversity, values and beliefs.

You should receive information about your supports in a way you are most likely to understand.

Choice and control matter

You should be supported to make informed choices and exercise control over your supports.

You should have time to consider your options and seek advice when you need it.

Your right to make decisions includes being supported to understand relevant benefits and risks.

You can speak up

You have the right to ask questions, provide feedback and make a complaint.

You can also seek support from someone you trust or an advocate.
