A registered NDIS provider has been approved by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission to provide particular classes of NDIS supports and must meet applicable registration requirements.
Which providers can I use?
If your funding is NDIA-managed, you must use registered providers for that funding.
If your funding is plan-managed or self-managed, you can usually use either registered or unregistered providers.
There are exceptions. Certain supports can only be provided by registered providers, including specialist behaviour supports, plan management and specialist disability accommodation.
Does registered automatically mean the provider is right for me?
No.
Registration is important, but choosing a provider should also involve whether the provider offers the support you need, communicates in a way that works for you, respects your choices and has an approach that suits your circumstances.
