Preparing for Your NDIS Plan Implementation Meeting

Make the most of your meeting by preparing your questions.

A plan implementation meeting is an optional meeting with your my NDIS contact after your plan is approved.

It is designed to help you understand your plan and how to start using it.

Before the meeting

Read through your plan and write down anything you do not understand.

Questions may include:

  • What supports can I purchase?
  • How do I keep track of my budget?
  • How do I find providers?
  • When must I use a registered provider?
  • How are my supports paid for?
  • How do I use the participant portal or app?

You can bring someone with you

You may choose to bring a family member, friend, Support Coordinator, recovery coach or another person you feel comfortable with.

The NDIS advises that you need appropriate identity verification and consent when sharing information with another person.

Choose how you meet

Current NDIS guidance allows plan implementation meetings to take place in person, virtually or by telephone.
